“Concert for Peace” — Vevey

This International Women’s Day, MECI honored women around the world striving toward peace, including all those in Palestine who have made our work possible for the last 17 years, with an inaugural “Concert for Peace”.

Held at the Hôtel des Trois Couronnes in Vevey, Switzerland, this event featured a cello-piano recital performed by the sister duo Anouchka and Katharina Hack and aptly titled “We are all sisters”. A reception beforehand also doubled as a photography exhibition, “Young Eyes from Palestine”, highlighting pictures MECI students took of home for a recent project.

“YOUNG EYES FROM PALESTINE” — Project partners:
Mr. Gregory Maillot — photographer and developer of the project curriculum
Natalia Signoroni — Concept proposal by Time-in-Tempo.Art

At this shattering moment for Palestine, when thousands of women have become the innocent victims of violence, MECI was moved and inspired by the support of our guests, coming together to recognize our common compassion and humanity as women, men, and global citizens.
