UNITED NATIONS CHILDREN'S FUND
Since 2013, MECI Jordan has partnered with UNICEF to implement and administer its non-formal education for Syrian refugee and vulnerable Jordanian children.
BARENBOIM-SAID MUSIC CONSERVATORY
MECI has partnered with the Barenboim Said Music Conservatory in Ramallah for its advanced music curriculum: musical lessons, girl choir, and youth symphony with European instructors.
UNITED NATIONS EDUCATIONAL, SCIENTIFIC & CULTURAL ORGANIZATION
In 2015, MECI implemented its Informal and Remedial Education programs for out-of-school Syrian and host community children in collaboration with UNESCO. Its partnership was part of UNESCO’s larger Education in Emergency Program, which is funded by the European Union.
PALESTINIAN MINISTRY OF EDUCATION
MECI's Comprehensive After-School Programs are implemented in partnership with the Palestinian Ministry of Education. Our programs take place at ministry owned facilities following regular public school hours and we employ ministry trained and certificated teachers to work as program facilitators.
MECI partnered with MercyCorps in the West Bank betweenn 2010 and 2017 on the implementation of its unique Comprehensive Child-Centered Community Development Model.
In 2016, MECI received the support of the Malala Fund to offer remedial education to 900 young adolescent Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians in 3 schools located in Irbid, Jordan. The purpose of the program is to assist students catch up academically to their grade and provide outlets for self-expression through art, sports, and life skills.
THE SYRIA FUND
In 2015, MECI implemented its Basic Life Skills Trainings in partnership with the Syria Fund in 6 schools located in Salt and Ramtha, Jordan. The program’s goal was to encourage the development of management, cognitive, social and teamwork skills. In 2016, the Syria Fund conducted its Song For Syrian initiative in 3 MECI schools in Salt.
Injaz Palestine provides training in finance and business development for MECI staff and students.
POLISH EMBASSY & POLISH AID
In November 2015, MECI Jordan engaged in a partnership with the Polish Embassy in Amman and Polish Aid. A beautiful play complex was installed in one of our school in Ramtha, benefitting over 450 Syrian and Jordanian children. The school was also equipped with arts supplies and sports equipment. In November 2016, a fully-equipped computer lab was inaugurated at the Tla Al-Ali Secondary school in Amman, benefiting hundreds of young girls.
REPUBLIQUE ET CANTON DE GENEVE
In 2016/2017, MECI partnered with the République et Canton de Genève for the non-formal education program.
AL TURKI HOLDING COMPANY
In 2014/2015, the Al-Turki Holding Company supported MECI's Informal Education Programs for 300 vulnerable children in Memuna Bint Al Harith School, located in Ramtha, Jordan, through their Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative.
CLASS OF 79 EDUCATION FUND -
Inspired by the work of Lola Grace and other Stanford classmates, The Class of '79 Education Fund was founded to create opportunities and Hope Through Education for children in the most dire of circumstances. MECI is a model for the importance of focus and determination in achieving great things, one child at a time. The Class of 79 Education Fund is honored to support their efforts.
THE MÖVENPICK HOTEL & RESORT
The Movenpick Hotel & Resort in Ramallah has partnered with MECI to create and offer a three-week training program to a select group of women from the Deir Ghassaneh Women’s Association. Training included: safe food handling, preparation, presentation, and service Movenpick standards.
AZAR FOUNDATION FOR CHILDREN OF THE WORLD
The Azar Foundation for Children of the World supports MECI's education programs for vulnerable children in the Middle East. Based in Washington, D.C., the Azar Foundation has hosted several events featuring and promoting MECI's work.
