About “Young Eyes From Palestine”
This project has been in the works for several months and is the outcome of a partnership between MECI, Time-in-Tempo.Art and Swiss-based photographer Gregory Maillot.
Earlier this fall, MECI students participated in photography lessons, taught by Maillot and guided by his therapeutic approach. Representing all five MECI schools, the children, between eight and 16-years-old, learned the fundamentals of camerawork and began honing their craft under their instructor’s expert eye. Many of them had never held a camera before.
Their images bring a child’s vision of life in the rural West Bank — of landscapes, traditions, friends and families — home to all of us around the world. They are visions of Love, of Peace, of Hope.
Now, a selection of their heartfelt creations are available for sale as limited edition prints, numbered from 01 to 016, symbolizing the 16 years of MECI's impactful work.
All proceeds support MECI’s efforts to bring Peace and Hope to the region.
