In 2015, MECI implemented its Informal and Remedial Education programs for out-of-school Syrian and host community children in collaboration with UNESCO. Its partnership was part of UNESCO’s larger Education in Emergency Program, which is funded by the European Union.

VILLE DE GENEVE

As of September 2021, Ville de Genève supports MECI's community development program for vulnerable children and Women in the West Bank.

In 2016, the Salzburg Festival, designated MECI’s education programs for Syrian refugee children in Jordan as the recipient of the AIDA General Rehearsal Opera. Thanks to the generosity of the artists, MECI Jordan set up a music program in conjunction with an education program in Irbid. 159 children received music classes for the first time.

BARENBOIM-SAID MUSIC CONSERVATORY MECI has partnered with the Barenboim Said Music Conservatory in Ramallah for its advanced music curriculum: musical lessons, girl choir, and youth symphony with European instructors.

In November 2015, MECI Jordan engaged in a partnership with the Polish Embassy in Amman and Polish Aid. A beautiful play complex was installed in one of our school in Ramtha, benefitting over 450 Syrian and Jordanian children. The school was also equipped with arts supplies and sports equipment. In November 2016, a fully-equipped computer lab was inaugurated at the Tla Al-Ali Secondary school in Amman, benefiting hundreds of young girls.
