WEST BANK
In February 2007, the Middle East Children's Institute launched its pilot child centered community development program in Beit Rima, a village in the West Bank. Today the program serves over 1 200 girls and boys in grades 1-10.
It includes:

Basic health care, including dental and eye care;

Psychological monitoring;

Nutritious meal and snacks;

Academic enrichment, including English language, math, Arabic, Science and computer training;

Extracurricular activities, including arts, drama, music, sports, dance, chess, etc.
JORDAN
In 2014, MECI established a Regional Office and implemented an Informal Education Program in three schools located in the north of Jordan. Up to date, the program has served over 3,300 children and youth, including:

Academic and Psychosocial activities in Arabic, Math, English, Physical Education, Arts & Life Skills through a curriculum developed by MECI and looked at by the Ministry of Education.

Cross-sector referral services related to health, child protection, sexual and gender-based violence, shelter and cash assistance.

Awareness sessions benefitting broader communities.

MECI – USA
The Middle East Children’s Institute (MECI) was founded in 2005 as a USA 501c3 public charitable tax-exempt organization. It is based in New York City and Washington D.C. Contributions to MECI-USA are tax deductible.
MECI – Switzerland
Fondation MECI International is a Swiss charity, was established in 2011 and works in partnership with its USA partner the Middle East Children's Institute (MECI). Contributions to Fondation MECI Switzerland are tax deductible.
MECl – Jordan
Fondation MECI International in Jordan, was established in 2013. It is registered in Jordan as an international NGO. The regional headquarters for MECI's programs is MECI Jordan, based in Amman.
