“Keeping Hope Alive” — MECI Boston Event

On February 4, 2024, MECI team member Mollie Ames and MECI alumna Ru’a Rimawi presented at the Community Church in Boston, a historic peace and justice congregation whose past speakers have included Martin Luther King, Jr. and W. E. B. DuBois.

Addressing an in-person and Zoom audience, Mollie discussed MECI’s evolution since launching in 2007 through its response to the current devastation in Palestine. Ru’a then spoke about her experience as a MECI student and scholarship recipient – opportunities which led to her current success as a doctor and fellow at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
