“Echoes of Peace” — Zurich Exhibition

On February 10, 2024, the Middle East Children's Institute (MECI) was honored to participate in "Echoes of Peace," an event in Zurich celebrating Palestinian history and culture.  Along with movies, music, and food, the occasion featured MECI’s "Young Eyes from Palestine" exhibition, a collection of photographs by our children and a poignant window into their lives of courage and endurance.

The event also offered a stage for members of our team to share powerful testimonies. Salah, our Program Director, joined via Zoom from the West Bank to provide an update on the challenges facing our programs and students. Gregory, our partner in Switzerland, presented an emotional account of his experience leading photography lessons with MECI children.

"Echoes of Peace" was more than an event. It was a symbol of hope and unity – a critical reminder that when the narratives of our children reach far and wide, they transcend the barriers of conflict.

We extend our deepest thanks to the organizers for their meticulous presentation of our exhibition and to every attendee who stood in solidarity with us.
